Welcome to Twajali

A mission to uplift Kenya’s youth, empowering them to lead and inspire change in their communities.

About Us

Twajali is a non-profit organization that seeks to address the problem of marginalized youth in slums and semi-urban areas in Kenya being highly susceptible to crime, drug abuse, and prostitution while searching for livelihood opportunities. Using hospitality management as a tool, our mission is to enhance the skills and capabilities of youth through holistic training and experiential learning methods.

As an organization, we aspire to create a world where marginalized youth from the slums are not only perceived as survivors but also as potential contributors to the economic and social development of their communities.

Appetizer Camp – September 2025

After a three-month pause to prepare for our center relocation, the Twajali grounds finally came alive again. We reopened training with the Appetizer Camp, the first phase of our journey together.

This 21-day camp, which began on September 21, 2025, brought together 17 trainees—13 women and 4 men—each stepping into a new chapter of self-discovery. The Appetizer Camp is always special to us; it's where our trainees begin adjusting to a new environment, learning about who they are and what they can become.
